What is Mentoring?

Mentor (noun): an experienced and trusted adviser.

At Yellowhouse, Mentorship is a relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. We typically work across specified frameworks with an agreement or contract between the parties.

Our mentor approach enables a learning and development partnership between someone with relevant experience and someone who wants to learn.

Our Mentorship experience and relationship structure ensures the support, career guidance, role modelling and communication occurs in the mentoring relationships to add value for the mentees.

This is a rewarding model for both parties and is often a rich experience. Measuring success can be validated using qualitative and/or quantitative methods. We prefer to work with a suite of measures, but it is possible to track progress through an assessment questionnaire aligned to interviews.
